A Day of Reflection and Music in the Temple of Light
On Sunday, the Temple of Light was filled twice over – in the morning for the Angels & St Michael Festival Service and again in the afternoon for Angels & Light: a harp recital with Cecily Beer.
The morning service, led by Anna Hayward and Jeremy Hayward, brought together friends and visitors in a quiet, uplifting atmosphere. There was a sense of shared stillness as people gathered in the Temple, and many spoke afterwards of how the service offered them both peace and inspiration.
The afternoon recital carried this thread of light into music. With the harp’s delicate tones resonating beautifully in the Temple, Cecily Beer created an experience that felt both intimate and expansive. The programme, inspired by our connection to angels and light, invited everyone to rest more deeply in reflection.
Some people chose to stay longer and enjoy the grounds, making a whole day of the occasion. Between the service and recital, there was time to walk, to sit quietly, and to enjoy the gardens and stillness of New Lands estate
The combination of service and music left many with a sense of renewal. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us in person or online, and to those who helped make the day possible. It was a gentle reminder of how powerful it can be when people gather with a shared intention to open their hearts to peace and light.
Future events at the Temple of Light will continue to offer these opportunities for reflection, community and inspiration, and we look forward to welcoming you again.
