"The flowers and the gardens of all the people were exquisite, but surpassing all this which we cannot describe, was a beauty of spirit."
Sun Worship II | White Eagle Teachings
On Saturday 24 June, over 200 hundred visitors came to White Eagle Lodge at New Lands for our Festive Summer Open Day.
It was an amazing day, so many took time out of their busy lives to visit us and we hope everyone enjoyed a beautifully sunny, entertaining and eye-opening day. Whether it was a walk around the temple and gardens, visiting stalls, trying out our taster sessions, eating at our cafe, sampling one or two activities, or just giving the little ones a chance to run amok, the day was a wonderful success.
Our visiting stall-holders were also amazing, as they setup and took down under the heat of the sun. We received such lovely comments about our staff and volunteers too, whom were vital for the day's smooth-running atmosphere.
Towards the end of the event, many visitors joined in with the optional 'Sun Ceremony', a symbolic activity carried out as part of a wider Earth healing attunement for people, animals and the Natural World.
In case you missed it, here are some of the photos taken on the day:
We were on the radio too! You can listen here.
From all of us at New Lands, including our staff and volunteers, we wish you love and light for the days ahead. We hope you will visit us again very soon.
