Laura is walking 100 miles for animals!

Estimated Reading Time: Under 1 min

Our youngest member of staff is embarking on a series of walks, totalling 100 miles, to raise funds for animals facing huge threats to their lives.

Laura, who works in the Office Support Centre at New Lands (HQ) in Hampshire (UK), has already begun her journey and has raised £40 out of her £100 target so far.

The campaign is being sponsored by WWF, where every mile she walks will raise £1.

Laura says:

"I came across it on Facebook and I've raised money before, but with global warming and the recent pandemic, people have become more aware of how to treat the planet, so thought I'd raise money for a good cause."

Laura is currently accepting donations through Facebook and hopes her fundraising will encourage others to reflect on the last two years living through a pandemic to affect positive change for the Natural World.

"For me it's about the animals. I love my animals and it's sad that we're destroying the Earth. It's doing something positive, maybe it will inspire others to do the same."
