Summer is here and with it brings Midsummer, a glorious time when flowers up and down Britain are in 'peak bloom'.
It is a time for celebration and renewal, as many venture out under the powerful rays of the sun to bask in its glory and top-up on some much needed vitamin D. After a very busy 2022, with the opening of the new temple and gardens at New Lands, Midsummer is also a time to welcome those seeking comfort, healing and friendship. It is this, and a sense of renewed energy, hope and a purpose to serve others, that our Festive Summer Open Day is now beginning to take shape.
On Saturday 24th June, White Eagle Lodge will be holding an open day at New Lands Retreat House, Temple and Gardens. As with almost all our events, it is open to everyone and presents a wonderful opportunity to see the new temple as it radiates its light under the high-noon sun (even when it rains too!). It is also a chance to see what is on offer for new visitors who are curious about what we do, and of course for our members whom, in some cases, have waited patiently for the right time to visit.
The day starts at 10.30am and continues until 5.00pm, where taster sessions such as contact healing, meditation and yoga will be available. Stalls and children and family activities will also come alive, as we hope to encourage everyone to explore New Lands estate and join in with the fun. At 3.00pm there will be a worldwide Earth-healing attunement in the field opposite the Retreat House. Whether you are familiar with Earth-healing or not, this a wonderful opportunity for friends and family to come together and project positive thoughts for our planet, knowing that there will be many others around the world doing the same.

Beautiful blocks like these will be hidden, as little feet embark on a treasure hunt across the estate. Expect golden sweet treats for those who crack the clues!
On the day...
Taster sessions: meditation, talks, yoga, contact healing, Earth healing - special Earth healing attunement at 3.00pm.
Children and family activities: treasure hunt, arts and crafts, puppet-making, children's raffle, storytime, face painting.
Stalls: paintings, gifts, books, arts and crafts, essences, and a raffle with superb prizes.
Food and drink, including icecream.
Walks, including chakra walk.
Please note:
- Dogs are welcome on the grounds, please keep them on a leash at all times.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- There will be a medic and first aid station on-site
- Our staff will be taking photographs on the day for use on our website, social media and email channels. If you would prefer not to appear in those photographs, please inform the photographer.
